help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more
I am a vegan and would like to use one just for today (as i don’t normally get asthma) but i am not sure if it contains any animal products ? Thanks
F.A.O. the assumptive one called Sonya : I AM asthmatic, I just get it very occasionally from the odd allergy. I used to have it all the time as a child and regularly used the inhaler BEFORE I became vegan. But I don’t want to come across as rude, Sonya.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

he sweetie, i admire your devotion to your choices and views, but if you sick ( and i know how asthma makes me feel) surely you would just take it. you cant take risks on your breathing, and if you got so ill with it u needed to go to hospital theyd prob just give you a nebuliser anyway with the same medicine as ventolin
I have looked on the paperwork that accompanies my Ventolin and can see nothing that appears to be of animal origin. Of course only the people who actually make them(Allen and Hanbury) could answer your question definitively.
It contains no animal product but was certainly tested on animals.
How can you have that on your conscience.
Just wheeze.
To answer your question:
Ventolin inhalants are a manufactured product and contain salbutamol. It’s not made from any animal products, but has side effects which are potentially dangerous.
Don’t use products designed for help with people suffering from asthma if your doctor hasn’t prescribed them.
almost all medicines are tested on animals and are therefore not vegan. So unless you’ve got plenty of money to pay a doctor who’ll locate special vegan medicine for you, you have to just take any medicine that you need.
if your not asthmatic and you haven’t been prescribed to take this as you wouldn’t be taking it for just today if you had, then why are you taking it, you could make yourself severely ill by taking things not prescribed for you. whether or not its ok for vegans !!!
er, dude i don’t know if it’s vegan, but just use it
i think there are some herbs that can help with asthma
Nothing wrong with salbutamol sulphate.
Yes the Ventolin inhalers are OK i believe however the turquoise ones are not i think. Cant remember the ingredient but it wasn’t vegetarian either so i don’t use it.
I’ve been taking these for years and I’m a veggie (had a whole variety – blue, brown, purple, green). I think they’re ok (can’t see anything awful in the ‘ingredients’) but with medication you never know. The way I see it is that they keep me alive – ok, it’s bad if they are from animal products but most of these things are from chemicals and extracts from plants. If you’re ill, take them – there aren’t any alternatives (I’ve tried some ‘herbal’ things and they just don’t work) and I’m not going to die from my beliefs. If that makes me a bag veggie, so be it, but asthma hurts my lungs and I don’t want that pain every day!
