My 3 year old son has bad asthma, and has been in and out of hospital since before xmas, and i am finding it a real struggle, and very upsetting..are there any support/helplines for me?

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

my 4 year old has asthma and was in and out 3 times over xmas and new year. but he is fine it seems that when he has cough/sneeze or cold it sets him off. when he is ok his asthma doesnt flare up at all. no one has mentioned any helplines. and i dont think ive needed them just use your common sense about smoky or dusty rooms. change bedding everyday and hoover the mattress keeping down dust is time consuming but effective. google it lots of good sites about asthma
    good luck.

    Try these links…

Have you spoken to the practice nurse at your GP? If your wee one has been in hospital he must have been referred to the Asthma specialist nurse? Have a talk to them. She or he will be able to put you in touch with any local support groups.
    Hope this helps.
