I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

If you quit smoking, gradually all your organs begin to heal, so yes, you will regain lung function after a period of time of not smoking.

Yes up to a point. Smoking causes irreparable damage over long tobacco use.If you’ve only been smoking for a year or so and are young and otherwise fit you can get almost all lung function back.Beyond that it’s the law of diminishing returns.

I really liked the answer that started "My grandad………."

    Anyway, here are the facts:
Lung damage due to emphysema is irreversible. The single most important treatment is to stop smoking. Quitting smoking helps slow the progression of emphysema. Treatment also improves shortness of breath.

Medications, including inhalers to help relax the lung and open the airways, are often used. Anti-inflammatory steroids are also used if the person has a sudden worsening with increased shortness of breath.

Exercise can be very helpful to help strengthen the breathing muscles and improve overall condition.

You have to realize that smoking is the worst thing you can do to your lungs. You will never get ALL of your lung function back. However, you will be able to increase your lung strength and health by just staying away from the cigarettes. There is an old proverb; "time heals all wounds." That is surprisingly true.

The best thing for you to do is just take it easy for a few days. Relax, read a book or something. When you feel up to it, take a brisk walk or something similar until you start to feel a little winded. Exercise like this for a while and you’ll soon find that you can walk farther before you lose your breath.

Talk to your doctor more. He should be your number one source of information!!

My grandad had emphysema from smoking. He’d been to the doctor off and on for years. He finally got to where he was having to spend two weeks in the hospital three times a year. The doctor had diagnosed him with emphysema many years before, yet he wouldn’t quit. The last time, the doctor told him if he didn’t quit smoking, he wouldn’t last more than 12 months before his lungs gave out. He never smoked another cigarette. His lung function didn’t improve much, other than not needing to go to the hospital so much. But he lived for ten more years and got to spend time with his great grandchildren, which he would have missed out on if he’d kept going. Please don’t be scared, just realize what those cigarettes do, and what they take away from you and your friends and relatives. Try to relax and hope for the best. It may be they only want to do more tests to check something they think they might see. You never know. I hope it’s nothing bad.

You can’t get that lung function back…..but you can stop irritating , your lungs , which closes your bronchial tubes , scars your lungs , and triggers more emphysema.

If you need help to Stop Smoking , Hypnotherapy is the best method.
