why acutely ill in this disease feel more comfortable sitting upright and leaning forward on his elbows?is connected to muscles functioning in inspiration and expiration ?
My husbands foot and ankle swells up, and turns pink. The nurse said it is from vascular pulmonary disease. He has asthma, is this the same? She said it will continue to swell from now on.
Please provide a clear definition, I can’t find any.
My mom is getting tested for it so Im a bit worried, although, she doesnt smoke but shes been coughing a lot latley.

About a year and a half ago someone in my family who suffers from these two diseases seemed to be ready to have a cardiologist put a pacemaker on. At least some questions were made by doctor and we thought it might just be implanted. But nothing else was mentioned by this cardiologist nor her primary care physician ever brought it up before, during hospitaliztion, or afterward.
Is this because the patient is past 80 years old. Are there risks?
Will COPD turn into emphysema?
