My girlfriend has been smoking for along time now. I really hate it and as matter of fact, I despise it. I keep telling her that she is way better than that and we end up arguing about it. Ok i just made the track team, and i realized how bad of shape my body was in when i ran the 800 meter. I could only run the 400 meter, i litterally had to start walking after the first lap! ok well i have to be a long distance runner, because im not very fast. but see, i smoke. My question is: if i quit smoking how much will it really improve my running? alot, or not much? i really need to know!

I was smoking weed age 18 to 23 every day. I quit about 2 months ago. Now i feel like i dont know who i am. Is that possible? Am i ever gonna get better, to click with the people my age. I act different with different people and am trying to find who i am and how to act. I know i dont act lke people my age and that boders me a lot. Any help please…

I have quit once before, cold turkey, but it didn’t last very long. Some other friends have used products to help them quit with better, long term, results. Anyone out there who can recommend a good product? I would prefer answers from people with first hand experience but everything helps!

I am 20 years old and i have been a pack a day smoker for 6 years
I am trying to quit smoking (cigarettes and weed) and it’s so hard cause my boyfriend does it and we live together he doesn’t pressure me i just smell it and im done so i need a sure fire way to quit cold turkey im trying to get a job and it’s not good for my health (asthma) and what are some good ways o get it out of your system faster then a month im starting this job program on the 21st and they will have a job waiting for me plz help im trying to get my life together

Way I looke at it, If Tobacco companies can put things such a nicotine in cigarettes and hook people, thus making themselves rich, why can’t the government get their hands on some of the nicotine slaves money too! (sarcasm)
Do smokers feel like slaves to the Tobacco industry and to our government now? Here in NC, the average carton of Cigs will go up 6 dollars as of monday morning!

I just found out tonight that my father is smoking, again. I am the only one that knows at this point and I will keep it that way if he agrees to quit…My mother doesn’t know and I’m sure he has lied about it to her, so I don’t want to mess up their marriage. Are there any ideas on how to get him to quit???

I quit smoking 24 days ago and I don’t physically feel any better. I even started walking 30 min a day and still don’t feel better.
its been 7 days now and im forced to quit due to probation, like i said I use to smoke 4-5 times daily for atleast 4 years, now my heart races im always worried/nervous, my hands are always sweaty "never happened before i quit" its hard to fal asleep, shortness of breath, and i panic for no reason which of course leads to my anger. Im guessing this is anxiety?
