help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more
I am 31 years old and after smoking for 17 years, I quit 4 months ago. Since then, I have had a sore throat, horseness, and it is very hard to breathe. I never had a problem with any of this before quitting. When does this end and is it normal?
Does anyone know a good solution to do this once and for all?
Marijuana has been a growing problem in my life, but I know I need to get away from this drug.
Please let me know if all this is normal when you quit smoking?
Have been smoking a long time, and really would like to quit.
Is the patch the best way to go?
Thankyou
I have been smoking for about 14 years. i will be thirty next week and desperately want to quit. I have used the patch and quit for over a year, however the patch gave me a horribly painful rash and severe nightmares, even when i didn’t where it at night. I was just wondering, for those who were successful quitting, what worked for you? was it cold turkey, pure motivation, patch , gum, inhaler. I would love some thoughts and advice to get me going on this. Thanks.
I really need to stop, I am 22 and need to quit before its too late. What are good teqniques to do to quit cold turkey?
I smoke daily and have always enjoyed it. But I feel guilty for spending so much money and living life with a buzz. It feels like I always need to be high just to get through the day and I never lived this way before I started smoking years ago. All of my friends smoke weed and it would be hard to be around them when they do it. I am also scared I will be terribly bored or won’t know what to do with my time. (learned habit, i know)
How can I go about quitting smoking weed? What are some benefits to quitting? Some encouragement to quit? or some ideas to hang out with friends or stay sober?
Been smoking for 10 years, but my GF means more to me than cigarettes. I am definitely going to need some kind of stop smoking aid to help get me thru it.
I quite smoking 3 weeks ago and I’ve realized the hardest part of not smoking is the ritual I have that revolves around my smoking.
Times WHen I SMoke:
WHen I wake up
After I eat
On the way to work
Smoke Breaks at work
on the way home for lunch
on the way back to work after lunch
when I’m bored at work
when i’m bored at home
When I talk on the phone
When I cut the grass
after i get back from running
whenever i’m irritated by life/family/wife/kids
My question is…the one thing that I always looked forward to was smoking…it was also the one thing that calmed me down when I was irritated, or added a spark when bored….
What do i do now? ANy Ideas?
I quit smoking 4 days ago…i started to exercise and will continue to everyday…it helps alot when you want to quit smoking…the thing is that i feel very stressed and sensitive with everything…i get really nervous and shout at nothing…i did smoke one cigarrette today and half yesterday…but before i was smoking one pack of cigs a day….so i feel much better and i’m starting to feel discusted by cigs…the one i smoked today made me feel dizzy, smelling aweful….i’ve been smoking for 7 years though…i’m i doing it the correct way? When will i stop feeling nervous and stressed? Does it matter that i smoke 1 cig when i feel really anxious?

I know smoking tabacco is bad and I’m trying to quit. I just wanted to know if I quit and then have a relapse, am I doing worse damage to my lungs because they’ve had some time to heal and then I go traumatize them again?
I’ve been dating my boyfriend for about 2 weeks and I would really like him to stop smoking weed, but he wont.He means alot to me, and so therefore that makes me scared for him. He says that he would quit for me, but not right away.I don’t know what to do, HELP!
So i quit smoking a month ago. People say they cough stuff up after they quit and that is the lungs cleaning themselves out. Well i haven’t coughed up anything until very recently and its like white/grayish/yellow. I really dont know how to describe it. Is that a bad color? Or is it normal? Has this happened to anyone else? How do you know if the color is normal or not?

I’ve been smoking almost everyday for the past yar. The longest time i’ve went without smoking weed would probably be two or three days. I have a lot of things going for me like I just got my BA in History at Rutgers and the only real reason to quit would be because I’m not myself anymore. Any tips on quitting?
I have now quit smoking for one month. The advice and information I received from this site has been very helpful. Anyone else who has quit for one month and can share advice? I am going to go off the nicotine patch in about 8 days, is this too soon? Thanks again to everyone.
I want to quit smoking and I am trying to figure out the best way for me. I have read about hypnosis and acupuncture. Has anyone tried that? Chantix is too expensive but I have heard it works well. What about the patch? Anyone done that one? I really need some help.
me and my husband want to quit smoking. What is the best product to use b/c we have smoked for several years?
I’ve been smoking for over 10 years, and i’ve quit many times. I have gone as long as a year without a ciggarette in one of my attempts. The combination of stress, and being in the same vicinity (around others) who smoke, is what has made me in the past take back up the filthy habit.
Any suggestions for permanently quitting?
im 13 and just quit smoking and have now gone straightedge, i just want some peoples opinions on my transformation

My father just had his 4th or 5th heart attack yesterday. He is facing surgery tomorrow. After the last surgery, the doctor told him he had to quit smoking or else he would see him for surgery within the next 2 years. He refuses to quit. I dont know how to get him to quit. I want him around to see my 3 yr old gradute High School, get married, and have her own kids. How can i convince him to quit smoking? I love him and dont want to lose him to something that could of been prevented. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
