How can i quit smoking! HELP PLEASEE, i want to quit so bad.?

help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more

me and my boyfriend made a deal, that we were going to quit smoking.
his part is working, and he’s cut back to one cig a day.
and i want to quit so bad, but it’s hard.
please help me, because nothing i do seems to help.
i need one like every 10 minutes, and it’s not good.
i’ve been smoking for only 2-3 years,
but it’s sooo hard. :/
Also, my mom is the one who keeps buying me cartins of them, even when i tell her DONT GET ME ANY THIS WEEK. she still gets them and says " they will be here if you need them" and i don’t need them, i just want them.. i’ve tried to use the gum, and it didn’t work with me.. i’ve tried to quit so many times, but nothing is working for me. :(

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

    Start keeping a diary when you smoke. Write down every cigarette you have, what you are doing, what time, how you are feeling , etc.. Review this after a week our two and look for trends. A lot of time people don’t even realize when they are smoking.

    Another trick is to start rationing your cigarettes. I don’t know how many you smoke now, but if it’s like a pack a day, give yourself 10 a day. And that’s it. You can smoke then when ever you want, but when they are gone, that’s it for the day. This will start making you conscious about when you are smoking and to start thinking about that next cigarette. Do you really want it now or can it wait for awhile.

    Next is to get either the nicotine patch or gum. Either of these will help with the nicotine withdrawl.

    Next is, you’ve really have to want to quit, for yourself. You can’t quit because your boyfriend wants you to, or because he is, or whatever the reson. If it’s not because you want to, it’s not going to work.

    See your doctor and ask about Chantix. It worked for me. Quitting is hard and it requires commitment and Chantix has some side effects that you need to know about, but it works. GOOD LUCK!!!

    Try nicotine patches and gum. Also, whenever you think about smoking pinch yourself or something that you don’t like. That was you associate smoking with something bad.

    your only as strong as your will power. Either you can really put up and do it naturally slowly cutting cigs back till your at none or get some help. I havent been hooked on smoking but 2 to 3 years doesnt seem that long. Im trying to get my dad to quit but hes been at it for like 24years.

    As a reminder put a small dot of super glue between the fingers you normally use to hold a cigarette. Eat a cigarette. Do not buy any cigarettes. Smoke a strong cigar.

    try EVERYTHING. smoking is really bad for you, and it shortens your life, and you have to believe in yourself that you can quit if your going to quit. try nicotine gum, try the patch, try rewarding yourself. talk to people you trust about it (your boyfriend?) or maybe a counselour if you got money. (you’ll have more money when you quit! andd probably more time on this earth to spend it!) maybe you can join a support group? just do somethingg and everything! and pray..a lot! god bless you :)

    If your serious about it. Your just going to haft to stop cold turkey. It will be hard, but your going to haft to be committed.

    Gee, you still a live? What you do and what you don’t if you smoke like this?
    First get little busy. Second keep distance from people who smoke like Volcano. Tke cold shwer, yes, every ten minutes. Wash you face if no shower. Do things you are like to do, things can take your time out of smoke. . Change from regular to roll cigarets, where you need spend time make your own cigarets.

    Try the nicotine patch. A lot of people have successfully quit with the help of the patch.
    You have to honestly want to quit. When you make the decision, get the patch and the key to being a non-smoker is to NEVER AGAIN SMOKE A CIGARETTE. Follow this rule and you will be a successful non-smoker. Your cravings will decrease with time. Since you have been smoking only a couple of years you should have a good chance of getting the monkey off of your back.
    Tell your boyfriend that he has to stop completely. He is only extending the cigarettes hold on his self by continuing to smoke albeit only a few a day.

    You have a very heavy habit and it will be very difficult for you to stop. What you have to do is go to your doctor and get a prescription for Chantix. It’s far and away the most effective stop-smoking med and it’s your best chance for quitting. If you haven’t stopped within the first three months, go on a second course, up to six months.

    The other thing you can do if the Chantix doesn’t work — the gum won’t be enough for you because you smoke heavily and are used to too much nicotine, there isn’t enough in it. So talk to a doctor about combination therapy, which combines the patch with the gum or the lozenges (which are better). And talk about using it for like a year rather than a matter of weeks. Do some research online if you want to find out what works, doctors often aren’t up on the latest research.
