my dad is smoking crack and has developed very bad paranoia and scitzophrenia. He lives far away but i am afraid to send him to jail for it.

Well I think this paranoia is caused by doing this drug and schizophrenia is maybe but not really. He’s just hallucinating and will go away when he decides to stop. Hopefully soon because it can eventually kill. Lets hope not.
I think you should have a serious talk with him. Let him know how you feel and maybe he’ll stop. It’s going to be hard but always show your support. Give him an ultimatum …to get help if not then stop talking to him. I think when a person hits rock bottom they realize their problem. I was once addicted and actually stopped because I overdosed and god gave me a second chance. Hopefully he does get his act together and wish you the best. Good luck
Share your concern for him and tell Him you care and it hurts you to see him hurting himself because you care for him.
Make him go to rehab, that stuff is addicting and he can’t just stop doing it, the problem is serious.
I’m so sorry to hear that. He’s in very serious trouble. Unfortunately, there isn’t much that you can do. He can be committed if he represents a threat to himself or others, but for unfathomable reasons merely being addicted to crack doesn’t qualify. Given that society is to stupid and cruel to allow committment of these unfortunates, sometimes the best thing for addicts is to go to jail, because it lets them dry out and wakes them up. But I’m not sure that that applies in the case of a schizophrenic, and I doubt that a call from you would result in his being jailed in any case.
