How is your trying to stop smoking coming along?

help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more

When I first started the filfthy habit when i was about 14 and 15 i said i’d stop by the time i was 25. well that b’day has just passed and i had given up for periods of months on end. Now i am just a smoker when i get drunk. Which aint that bad.

However, With the no smoking in public starting next year in England, just wondered how many were stopping smoking beforehand or waiting for the ban or who will carry on regardless.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

You know what, all these people think that Britains stop smoking campaign is great, but what about all that tax that the government gets from smokers? What’ll they tax us on now?

It’s easy to give up. I’ve done it thousands of times.

I stopped about 4 months ago. In truth, some days are easier than others but I have to tell myself that if I have just one cig I’ll need another one about half an hour later.

Personally, I don’t understand how y’all can sit there and allow the government to ban something that is legal. Of course, I am also royally p-o-ed at my hubby’s company who is making him quit smoking by November. If I didn’t want him to quit smoking so much, I’d be out making the most noise possible about this. Hello people, smoking cigarettes is LEGAL. You may not like it, but it is legal. And, for the record, there is very little PROOF that links smoking to "second-hand" smokers getting lung cancer and the like, it is mostly just a PR scare.

People need to wake up, get the facts, and make THEIR OWN decisions about life and death.

I smoked for 19 years, have given up for 4. (except for the odd drunken fag just to prove i can!) I used to chain smoke and worked out the cost at a £1000 a year. Best thing ive ever done, it was hard but now its well worth it. I did it with the help of the smoking cessation clinic. (ask your doctor). And just so i dont feel completely deprived i fully intend starting the bad habit if im still here when im 85yrs

I don’t found a solid reason to stop it yet that’s why it is going on and on.

If I get an heart attack or some cancer than I really quit this bad think till then…….. who cares… people are dying anyway.

    Not good.

I stopped last year when I broke my ankle, so I couldn’t go out for fags for a while. The first time I got drunk though, I smoked.

I have been drunk and not smoked since then, but now for some weird reason recently I have been having a couple on thursday, couple more on friday and about 10 saturday and finish the pack off on sunday.

    I can’t understand it! So I haven’t had a cigarette since Sunday.

i gave up nearly 6 yrs ago. I was 30 and was told i had a clot in my lung . I was due to get married 10 weeks later and that day i had picked the keys up to our new home. I have never looked back. And i have turned into the typical anti smoker.
