How many times did it take for you to quit if you could do it? If you have not been able to, then why not?
"True" its obvious that you were never a smoker. Thus, your opinion counts for nothing.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

Honestly?
I’ve no idea. I gave them up when I was pregnant, twice, when my first baby was born you could actually smoke in the room with the baby, and a nurses aid would pop to the hospital shop for you for a pack of 10 – this is true. Anyway, went back on them straight after giving birth, and every 5 years or so I made an attempt, one month here, 3 months there.
I have tried hypnotherapy, acupuncture, patches, gum even a stupid.fecking tape you listen to when your asleep thats a fiver I’ll never see again.
Anyway, I have been a smoker for 33 years, I gave them up cold turkey 7 weeks ago, will I stay off them? I honestly don’t know, but the price here in Ireland is crippling Eu 8.40 +/- for a pack of 20 (10’s are not allowed to be sold here).
My cut-off time seems to be 3 months, so come back and ask me in 5 weeks :S.
it took me 12 attempts to stop smoking.
It is your choice to start again. If you are a weak person or don’t want it bad enough, you will fail.
Only one if you are strong-willed and have all the support you need
I stopped on my third serious attempt. I lost count of how many time I said I was going to pack in and didn’t
Smoked about a pack a day for 9 years and quit cold turkey 2 years ago. Haven’t touched one since.
If you truly want to quit, there are no excuses. Be stronger than the drug. Just quit.
It took me 1 1/2 years after I started cutting back to actually get myself to quit . I used a hypno therapist… Hypnosis worked because I was ready to quit and really wanted to stop .
I also have emphysema … try to quit before you get sick . I know a lot of people who are suffering from congestive lung disease ( COPD) . We all wish we had been able to quit earlier. I have been up to three packs a day and started when I was 12 … I’m proud to have 8 1/2 months clean … I’m 57. I now have no desire to smoke but I have dreams about it all the time
it took me 4 attempts
have you read Allan Carrs book the easy way to stop smoking, it helps a lot
I quit smoking 4 yrs ago for good, that was my 4th attempt also. Attempt # 3 lasted about a year and a half before I started again. When I quit for good I had good reason I was pregnant w/ my daughter, so it was slightly easier.
Depends on how badly you want to quit.
I tried for many years using substitutes like nicotine gum and failed cause I never really 100% wanted to do it mentally.
Then 2 years ago my partner and I decided enough was enough, we wanted to grow old and live longer so we both quit, by cold turkey, it was very hard for the first few months but it gets easier.
The reason I think I failed before was I had never met the love of my life until a few years ago and now we have a great life together and kids to think about, It made the whole effort worth it. You need a motive to work with
I don’t think I could even count the number of times I tried to quit! The only thing that became enough of a motivation for me to finally do it was trying to get pregnant. My husband and I both quit cold turkey because we did not want our future child to have any problems. I feel 100x better now that I don’t smoke.
Apparently it only takes one. You just have to find the right one.
I once stopped for nine years (no effort)….Started again for a couple of years then stopped without effort. now a non Smoker for the rest of my days…I can’t explain how i managed to stop so easily i guess i have great will power…
Stopped first time after smoking for 15 years. Done it cold turkey, not had a smoke for 3 years
If you get your headset right it can be easy
Also the smoking ban helped because the walk outside gave me time to stop myself and there’s no one else smoking near to tempt me in my moment of weakness/drunkenness
