I’ve been trying to get my mom to stop smoking for sooo long and now she gets annoyed every time I bring it up, she has to intention to try to stop, (it doesnt seem like it) does anyone have any ideas I can try to get her to stop?
For those who are going to write something like" say: your going to die and so am i" good suggestion, but I’ve tried that a million times. Doesint work unfortunately ![]()

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

I know you hate that your mom smokes, but it’s more than an addiction for some people, its a lifestyle. You can get her some nicotine pills or something, so that way she gets the nicotine without the smoke, and ease off from there. Or, on a more drastic scale, you can pull the "If you keep smoking you’re going to die and I’m going to die from second-hand smoke"…although untrue sometimes, it usually makes them realize what they’re doing to themselves. THEN try the nicotine pills.
PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE
JUST KIDDING.
I THINK WHEN IT COMES DOWN TO IT ONLY THEY CAN REALLY CONVINCE THEMSELVES THAT THEY WANT TO CHANGE. THEY HAVE TO FIND IT WITHIN THEMSELVES. YOU CANT JUST TELL SOMEONE TO CHANGE. IT JUST DOESNT WORK THAT WAY. U CAN ONLY TELL THEM UR CONCERN AND UR THOUGHTS AND LET THEM DO THE REST OF THE HARD WORK.
GOOD LUCK
The more you harass her, the more likely she will continue. She will probably smoke more often too. Best thing to do is leave her alone. Nobody can make anyone quit. Even if you got lucky enough, chances are she would sneak because she didn’t do it for herself. She only did it to shut you up. So she would sneak outdoors. Sneak when you weren’t home. Smoke in the car when you weren’t around. So really, she’s not quitting. If she wants to, she will. If you tried for so long, and she hasn’t. Chances are nothing else you try will work either.
