help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more
I have tried everything to get my dad to stop smoking but I can’t get him to quit i need help.

The first thing that must be addressed is determining whether or not your dad truly wants to quit. If you want to quit, but he has not decided himself that he is ready, you will have a tough time.
If he is not already convinced himself, usually the most effective way is to make him understand how important he is to you and your family and that he must stay healthy so he will be around for a very long time. It is kind of a cruel trick, but hopefully the guilt he feels will be enough to motivate him to stop, if not for himself, then at least for you.
Honestly, my mom smokes to really bad and me and my family have tried hard to make her stop. It doesn’t work out well if you have the person cornered and make them feel like their being attacked. Try to tell them why you wont them to quit, tell them the bad side effects and tell the how much they mean to you. It only works if you know things that trigger them and bring up things that they like. Say if your dad likes fishing and you guys don’t usually go fishing to often bribe him and say if you don’t smoke this week we can go fishing for the weekend Little things like that and once he stops smoking for awhile he will notice how much better off he feels.
