I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

    Febreze

  5. Amy V says:

Febreeze the furniture and open all the windows… let the air coming in the windows to naturally neutralize the smell.

Put baking soda or borax on the carpet, use fabreze or Lysol disinfecting spray for fabrics on upholstered items and fabrics, spray oust in the air, wash the walls with white vinegar and wipe hard surfaces with vinegar (drying wood thoroughly).

Oh I don’t know if I should be telling you anything, it sounds like someone did something they shouldn’t be doing… but oh well, been there done that. But take it from me, don’t start smoking, it’s a bad habit to start and it’s hard to stop. Been smoking for 25 yrs and I regret starting when I was 14.

Anyhoo, enough of the lectures, try febreeze

That wouldn’t be that bad an odor, but I would suggest some air freshener formulated for eliminating cigarette smoke. Ask your local drug store or supermarket if they carry any cans.

  9. dimpelmum says:

If you have a air purifier then this will rid the smell. You can also spray air freshener OUST is a very good air freshener. Also an electric fan will help too

white vinegar sprayed about should clear it

cut an onion in half………….(but then you might cry like a baby) lol

  12. BOB says:

put a soiled cat litter tray in the room smokers wont stay long enough to lite up!!

  13. JERRABand says:

It was only one cigarette. The smell will be completely gone in 2 hours. You can help speed up the process by opening the windows and turning on fans.

  14. Rachie Fish says:

if you really want to get rid of it, you shouldn’t smoke inside…who knows…the crud weather might just make you quit!

If you don’t fancy that, keep a window open, douse the place in febreeze, and try a couple of vanilla scented candles.

  15. tugboat says:

    perfume on the wall paper.

  16. Lollie 123 says:

    It is probably already gone.

  17. jazzhd says:

oust it mate the advert seems to work lol

Eskie Lover is right – Borax, or Boric Acid, which you can buy from a convenience store like CVS (*caution: expensive*) is used along with hydrogen peroxide to fight mold and mildew, and as a neutralizer. It’s acutally the most effective, and safest to use around people and pets.
It’s also used as a pesticide (just a little side note).
Then, burn a nice-smelling candle, or mix some perfume and water and let it sit on "low" on the stove top, and it’ll fill the room (similar to an oil-burner).
    Good luck!

    Open a window

  20. Ladyfromdrum says:

Oh so you’re at it again! Well – the best way to remove smoke odour from a room is to burn joss or insense sticks. They are the only thing to really work properly.

  21. Devika R says:

open a window, worked for me.

  22. carol t says:

I guess you are trying to hide the fact that you are smoking.
You can try Febreeze or candles, opening the window.

I think if you are trying to hide it from a non-smoker you are in a bit of a mess because they will be able to smell it. I am a smoker and we do not smoke in house, but sometimes by hubby tries to pull one over on me and smokes 1 in the bathroom. I can always smell even if it has been many hours.
