I would like to stop smoking?

What are some good methods to stop smoking? I tried taking welbutron but it really affected my sleeping. Chantix didn’t help much either. Has anyone ever used hypnosis to stop?

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

I hate to say it but but the only real way to stop is cold turkey, I know people who have had hypnosis and they quit for a while but started up again.
Try drinking a lot of water and have some snacks on hand, also try Australian chewing sticks, you can get them at any health food store and they help with the fixation.
    Good luck!

Just ween yourself off. Pace yourself to where you don’t drive yourself nuts. Hypnosis is only a quick fix. Most just go back to smoking. If you want to smoke bad enough, you’ll smoke, and all that money and time you spent on hypnosis, down the toilet.

There are many methods used to stop smoking such as pills, patches, gums, hypnosis, therapy or nicotine relief patches. Or just quit naturally, by eating something else you like (for example chocolate cake)

Quiting smoking is very good! So, kudos to you! my friend is trying to quit smoking and she said when she gets the urge to smoke a cigarette she sucks on a jolly rancher instead and it eliminates the craving! you should try that, or a diffrent candy you like.

I had a friend who used hypnosis and it worked well. I used a natural herb called Lobelia. I got a product from the vitamin store called "nicotene relief" and it worked like a charm. Mine was a pill but they have changed the delivery system to a liquid that you put in a small glass of warm water a couple times a day. I used it as it suggested regularly as well as when I had a craving. It was great and didn’t affect me negatively. It worked when patches and gum and welbutrin hadn’t.
I also used a counting method to help. Whenever I had a craving I’d count. I’d count slowly in my head ( or out loud with my eyes closed if I could) and focus on each number. When i’d realize my mind had drifted to other subjects I’d know the craving had passed. I started out counting to like 140, but within a week was down to about 30 and stopped the counting. It worked so well, I quit cold turkey and never went back. Good luck!

You just need to quit! I smoked for over 10 years and I quit May 1st and haven’t had one since. It also helps not to have a day planned just wake up one random morning and say "I no longer smoke" it’s all about will power!!
