I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

Moderate smoking of marijuana appears to pose minimal danger to the lungs. Like tobacco smoke, marijuana smoke contains a number of irritants and carcinogens. But marijuana users typically smoke much less often than tobacco smokers, and over time, inhale much less smoke. As a result, the risk of serious lung damage should be lower in marijuana smokers. There have been no reports of lung cancer related solely to marijuana, and in a large study presented to the American Thoracic Society in 2006, even heavy users of smoked marijuana were found not to have any increased risk of lung cancer. Unlike heavy tobacco smokers, heavy marijuana smokers exhibit no obstruction of the lung’s small airway. That indicates that people will not develop emphysema from smoking marijuana.
No, weed is better for you.
if you get really good pot, you will have to smoke less than if you are smoking bad pot. so if you get good pot and minimize your intake, it will be better for you than smoking cigs
well from what i’ve heard, cigarettes are worse. dont really know why but i think its because of all the cigarette nicotine. i asked my science teacher this once and he had told me cigaretts are worse
yes of course it is, any obnoxious substance being breathed into your lungs can’t be good for you.
If you smoked it as much as the average person smoked cigarettes, it would be worse. However, almost no one does this.
The average pot smoker smokes way less (quantity-wise) then the average cigarette smoker, and therefore, it is less harmful. It is also less addictive then cigarettes by significant amount (and caffeine for that matter) so you wont be committed to it for the rest of your life like you would with cigarettes.
it is indeed it can cause serious lung damage!
It causes quicker lung damage than cigarettes and users are more likely to have a stroke in their lifetime ..usually around middle age. The damage from one joint equals damage from about 20 cigarettes.
If you are looking at chest/heart problems alone cannabis is worse. It causes both COPD and emphysema in the same way as tobacco but is 6 times more likely to cause lung cancer. Added to this it increases the risk of psychotic mental illness by 40% and causes brain atrophy (shrinkage), which causes and accelerates dementia.
Neither is good for you.
In cigarettes,it’s not so much the nicotine but all the other chemicals such as benzine, arsenic that do the damage.
In weed, the effects of the drug can make you experience paranoid delusions- even leading to a psychotic episode.(and sometimes this is not reversible)
Well I usually like Dr Frank’s answers. But I have to say in this particular case I do not agree. There is no compelling evidence that marijuana does as he says. Now I am sure it is not good for people but there simply is not enough good data to draw conclusions. Observation of many people and using it my self for many years before I stopped indicates to me that it is less hazardous physically than tobacco. As far as mental damage you cannot draw statistical conclusions about it causing problems because many people that later develop mental problems may simply has a natural tendency to take drugs. It does not imply cause. This is not a defense of marijuana.
Cigarettes are definetly worse than marijuana. There has been no record of death caused by marijuana, unlike tobacco which has caused lung cancer for millions of people worldwide……yet tobacco is legal and marijuana isnt….America sure knows how to choose its battles, "War on Drugs" hasn’t gotten us anywhere except putting money into these officials pockets…..
Both of them are bad for your health so you better start not thinking about it and stop doing it if you are ‘coz your the only one who will suffer in the end.
Other than being illegal and not regulated so you have no idea what sort of pesticides or other drugs are on the pot you’re rolling up and inhaling, there are no filters on joints, like there are on cigarettes. That being said, the THC in your system lingers so drug tests could detect it if you happen to work at a job that is concerned about employee drug use. Plus, some careers will be off limits to you if you fail to pass drug screening/lie detector questions. [climbing down off of her soap box]
The jury is still out on the weed case, my oppinion. If it’s bad for you then it does not matter if it’s any better or worse that cigarettes, it’s still bad for you so don’t do it.
Choosing weed over tobacco is much like saying "getting punched in the face is not as bad as getting hit by a car so I’ll choose to get punch in the face", this is while neither a particullarly good for you so just don’t do any.
Here’s what I see happening. 60 years ago everyone though tobacco was not bad for you, this is because there had been no research in the area, so people smoked. now people know it’s bad, the addicted people are regretting every taking it up. I see the same for weed users in 20-30 years time.
No. Weed isn’t as addictive so you won’t end up smoking as much. And it is all natural (if you have some that is free of fillers or contaminants) unlike cigarettes that are filled with dangerous chemicals.
As long as you smoke it in moderation you really won’t put yourself in more danger healthwise. You are more likely to die in a car accident. There are no reported deaths from marijuana.
I have to agree with Dr. Frank on this one.
Professor, too many of my friends have ended up messed up arseholes after prolonged use for me to be convinced mental health and illness are not side effects of long term drug use.
I know this is anecdote but when one has seen nice pleasant well balanced people turn into paranoid arseholes, among other things such as suicide attempts etc., one seriously have to question whether the evidence is good enough.
No. Im not saying its good for you, but, me and my friend looked up deaths from weed, there was none, and it said that the least amount of cancer deaths were around the 70’s, when everyone smoked. The resin in it kills cancer cells in you lungs. Its impossible to o.d. because ull pass out before you get to that point. Cigarettes are just grimy. They have tar and fiberglass and other nasty stuff in it, marijuana is a weed. At an assebally at my school on drugs, they just said a couple things about majiuana like the chemicals in it and didnt say anything bad. Most people that smoke ciggarettes smoke weed, if one of your parents have been smoking for a long time, i will put money on it that they smoke weed too.
i dont know but ive got a source that may help
