Should the NHS provide dieting groups in the same way they have stop smoking groups?

Obesity is one of the UK’s growing health problems but there is no nhs support in the form of diet clubs yet there are stop smoking clubs and support. We are obliged to pay organisations to help us in our efforts to lose weight. Shouldn’t the NHS provide help? I’m interested in other’s thoughts.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

are obese people addicted to food? people who smoke sure are addicted to nicotine, makes sense that there are support groups and clubs. do they not have weight watchers in the UK? thats your best bet for a support group. personally, i don’t see how much support you need to put down the fork and get off your ass.

i thought the NHS where doing something. Its said that the Government is going to pay obese people to loose weight. Stupid i say! .

There is a difference between smoking and obesity. Smoking is a drug! food isnt! everyone eats food so those who have an issuse should sort it out n these clubs because everyone else can eat food and deal with weight fine. im sorry i sound rude but thats my oppinion
