IM SURE they would like that.
maybe they would sooner us smoke than pay EXTRA 30% tax
and have their mortgage payments go up to 15-20%
and also how many ANTI smokers use the NHS. you know what most of smokers tax pays for.
if all smokers stopped today
what would happen?????
maybe another black monday when interest rates was @ 15%
maybe some of the young anti smokers
are to young to remember.
but lots of people lost their homes
smokers and anti smokers.
and it can happen again.
when we are all made to stop smoking by the GOV.
where will the billions of tax come from.

If you stopped smoking then we would pay less towards the NHS, plus the world would be a much pleasanter, sweeter smelling, place.

Oh give over. Th tax raised from smoking is gradually decreasing anyway, as more and more people see sense and give it up. You’re trying to defend the indefensible with a ridiculously weak argument here.

Two other things to bear in mind:
#1. Why is there no pro-smoking lobby? Too politically incorrect at the moment, eh? Now that’s not democratic, is it!
#2. Once the anti-smoking dictators have had their way with smokers, who’s next? Will people not be able to fart in public any more? Oh no, I forgot, even anti-smokers fart, so it’ll have to be some other quiet group/subculture.
I think the government should ban smoking cigarettes/cigars and all of that crap, in the whole country. Why not? Please don’t give me that crap about right’s and freedom of choice. When it is a major issue regarding public health, the wider population should be of more a concern than the minority.
A step in the right direction was to ban smoking in pubs, clubs and outdoor areas. Now though, we can enjoy walking out of a clean shop and into a big, stinking wall of smoke. Yuck! I like my lungs free of cancer causing crud thankyou very much.
Research has shown that passive smoking is just as big a death cause, as first hand smoke. People have died and continue to die simply by being AROUND cigarette smoke. I think this is the biggest tragedy and joke there could be. If people want to smoke and risk all kinds of cancer than so be it, but to put healthy citizens at risk of these horrible diseases, speaks of supreme arrogance and lack of human caring.
