He isn’t stared that he might get lung cancer even though he has smoked for 5 years. He isn’t scared about a heart attack(hes 45) or any other side effect possible. He wont even admit he is addicted even though he has to have a smoke before 9:30. She thinks she’s being secretive, but I’ve seen her doing it and can smell it. She’s 50 yrs old, and i’m worried about her… I love her very much, and a recent study shows that lung cancer is the biggest killer of women in Australia.
What is a tactful way to help her? Please… any help is greatly appreciated.
I’ve tried talking to them and telling them that they will get lung cancer but they won;t listen, they are convinced that smoking weed is better for you than drinking alcohol, they think that a bad liver is worse than bad lungs i don’t know how to get through to them please help
My Dad smokes all the time, he always tell me and my siblings never ever do them. But I know that smoking leads to lung cancer and eventually death, I am very worried about his life style, I see many cigarette packs in the car and I can get the guts to tell him to stop. What do I do?
Trying to figure out if say there are 11 minutes taken off your life for every ciggarette you smoke. My friend says he has been smoking about 3 a day for 2 years. I’m not the best at math. But I got that he would have taken off 16 days. Does anyone else get this?
Also if you happen to know, if someone is dying because of lung cancer because they are a smoker can they get a transplant? I keep saying they can’t but maybe this world is crazy enough that they can…
BTW trying to help my friend stop smoking. He can’t see reason. Please be harsh. =)
Okay, So my mom smokes literally every 10 minutes. The house smells like it, real bad, to the point where I don’t invite any of my friends over, it smells that bad. I’ve asked her multiple times to stop. but she doesn’t listen. Her dad aka my grandpa, died last year because of lung cancer, caused by smoking. And even after that, she still wont quit. I’m only 11, turning 12 in like 20 days, and I’m crying as I’m writing this. Can you please Help?
My dad is a really heavy smoker, he almost always has been. He goes out for a smoke almost every other hour. My mom got him to stop once, but then we drove cross-country 3 years ago, and he went out for a smoke he said it was "just one, its no big deal" but he has been since, and he is already showing signs of lung cancer. Please help!
My husband smokes and here lately, I have been worried about him. He has this persistent cough that sounds as if it hurts but when I ask him about it he either tells me that he is okay or makes a little snide remark about how I am overacting. He knows that I hate him smoking and that my Grandfather had lung cancer and emphysima. He also has two children that really need him and I am just scared that this cough could be something more serious. Can anyone out there help me?

Hi, I am 16 years old.
I’ve been smoking for three years, probably 17 cigarettes a day. If I quit smoking now, can I still die from lung cancer in the future?
(I’m planning on quitting right now because I can’t stand smoking anymore, it sucks)

cell phone companies are saying the same thing about using cell phones, that they cause no harm to your brain. But how would they know when there have really been no long term studies on the topic. There are some experts who say that the radiation coming from your cell phone could do some damage to your brain. I’m really not a conspiracist, but i feel as if the cell phone companies are holding out on us, just like the tobacco companies did. They had done studies that proved that smoking increased your risk of lung cancer, but they withheld that information from the public. It could be that the cell phone companies are doing the same thing.
The question is, isn’t it possible that cell phones cause brain turmors, and the cell phone companies know about it, but are not telling us. That is the question.
My Father died of lung cancer that’s why im scared that it would happen same thing to my hubby. I convince him many times to stop smoking but he won’t listen. He does smoke when im not around with him.
I have been having a stinging feeling in the right lung area, i do smoke about five cigarettes a day and i used to smoke alot of marijuana. I say to myself that nothing could really be wrong if i can withstand a four mile run, and half a mile swim, plus stationary bycyle almost daily. I had a chest xray last year which showed no disease. Would i have this kind of cardiovascular endurance and still have lung cancer or lung disease caused by smoking?
My husband has had copd for 4 years and now has lung cancer and also has traveled to the lymph node, what prognosis will he have with no treatment?
