help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more
She smokes it because she says it’s fun and only once every couple weeks to a month. I’m going to do everything in my power to help her stop, but I have absolutley no idea where to start besides finding out why she does it, which I’ve already done. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I care about her too much to just ignore it.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

There absolutely nothing wrong with smoking weed. She is her own person with rights that you don’t have a right to infringe on. She’s not going to kill any body cause she smokes, she not going to kill herself cause she smokes, her smoking does nothing to harm you. Only if it harms others in a real way not just cause you don’t like it but real harm then leave her alone about it. Stop trying to control that which you have no right to and be a FRIEND not a parent that has swallowed all the nonsense on marijuana from "Drug Free America" "live Above The Influence" That’s all a load of hogwash. Do real reading on marijuana and you’lll learn truth not lies.
As much as I hate to say it, people smoke weed. It’s just casual. (I personally don’t). Honestly, it’s not like she’s addicted to it. Once every few weeks? There’s not a lot of harm in that. I think that if you try to help her, she will just get mad and rebel.
Pot is the most common drug used. It’s really not a big deal. As long as she doesn’t move to hardcore drugs (heroin, ecstasy) she’ll be fine. If she starts doing it like, every day, then you can step in and tell her how you feel.
for many of us smoking weed is just a part of life. i Used to smoke pot myself i recently quit due to psychological family history of depression and anxiety which was effecting my reactions to it. Weed is really a harmless drug often confused to be dangerous due to it’s legal status. I think you’ll find your friend is just going through a faze. once every couple of weeks shouldn’t pose any risk to their health. The best thing you can do is keep an eye on your friend and watch out for any social behaviors which may change in future. I personally believe the worst thing weed can do for a person is draw them away from friends (extreme cases of smoking weed all the time). if your friend is actually interested in quiting, it shouldn’t be hard as it has very little addictive chemicals in it. Although there is an alternative legal herb you can buy from a shop called ‘happy high herbs’ which does the exact same thing as weed pretty much, it’s called ‘PUFF’ but it’s like double the price of weed
If she only does it once every couple weeks there is no reason to freakout. it isn’t doing her any harm. and if you do try to get her to stop and she doesn’t want to, i PROMISE you your friendship will not last much longer.
my friend tried to get me to stop, i knew him since i was in freaking kindergarden. he wouldn’t stop bugging me about it so guess what i did, i stopped calling him and stopped answering his calls, it was that frustrating. so the friendship ended because he couldn’t exept the facts of life, people smoke, it does them no harm so no harm is done.
If she only smokes it every couple of weeks you should give her a break. She could be doing worse drugs like alcohol or tobacco. As long as the smoking does not start to effect her life at school/work (whatever) then there is no problem. You may not realise this but millions of people all over the world are able to enjoy weed without having a psychotic breakdown, turning schizophrenic, becoming depressed, stealing to feed their habit, or going on a killing spree. I know because I am one of them
WHy dont you just except her for who she is.
Besides she doesn’t even smoke on a daily basis,
whats the big deal?
When you see a stoner, you will know, they live to smoke.
Your friend just likes to get high once in a while.
I’m not quite sure but I’ve had the same problem with my friend. Nothing really worked. Please ignore these other answer though, b/c weed IS bad for you physically and mentally, so don’t feel stupid for asking this question. I don’t think it’s casual or ok.
My advise would to just tell your friend how much it bothers you. If its a good friend, they will car what you think.
Here’s a question that I doubt you’ve ever considered; why do you think she should stop? Besides the obvious fact that it’s illegal, of course. Do you think that it’s going to make her lazy and unmotivated? Do you think it’s bad for her? Do you think that she’s going to start protesting wars and rise up against the government? Do you think that she’s going to become a pacifist and communists are going to kill her? Do you think that she’s going to take one puff of it and become a savage, murderous lunatic?
You may say to yourself that all of these questions, with the exception of the first two, are completely ridiculous, yes? Well every single one of these examples were once used as a perfectly vaild reason to persecute marijuana and anyone who used it.
So just to put your worries at rest and so I don’t have to type a book on it, I’m just going to cover the topics of which I assume have got you worried for your friend. I’m going to go with "It’s addictive", "It’s a gateway drug", "One joint produces as much tar as 10 cigarettes" and "It kills braincells".
It’s addictive- True, if you read any official government source on the topic, they will tell you that there are more teens in rehab for marijuana addiction than any other substance. Well, to the non-cynical person, it would appear that marijuana is the most addictive substance in the world. EVEN MORE ADDICTIVE THAN HEROIN!!! Well, unfortunately what the government doesn’t tell you is WHY that’s true. When a teen under the age of 18 is caught with marijuana, they are taken to court and the judge tells them that they can either spend the next two years in juvinile hall or they can go to rehab for two months. Anyone who wasn’t insane in the membrain would jump on that offer and go to rehab. But the government gets the point for that person being in there and they can tack it onto the list.
It’s a gateway drug- Okay, to start off, there is nothing in marijuana that encourages a person to pursue a more intense high. The only plausible cause that the government has to make this claim is based on the assumption that a person who buys pot from drug dealers is put into an environment where harder drugs are just as available. A kid who goes in to buy some weed gets convinced by his dealer to try some coke because it gives a way better high. As unlikely as this scenareo is, it is still possible. But what if marijuana was taken out of the hands of the drug dealers? What if all someone had to do to get some pot was to go down to a convenience store and prove that they were of legal age to purchase it? A world where marijuana was taxed and regulated the same way as alcohol (which was once illegal too, don’t forget). And that way, the money wouldn’t go to drug dealers and gangs, but to the government and back to the people. Doesn’t that sound like a good idea? Well with this in mind, it would appear that marijuana isn’t illegal because it’s a gateway drug, but rather it’s a gateway drug BECAUSE it’s illegal.
One joint produces more tar than 10 cigarettes- Alright, I can’t say for sure whether this is true or not, since it’s still being debated. But in almost twenty years of testing, no one has ever found that marijuana causes cancer. In the reports on which they found that marijuana produces more tar, the authors had to use words like "might" and "should" cause cancer. While we’re on the health matter, it’s interesting to note that you can’t die from smoking marijuana, it’s physically impossible to get enough THC into your system to get a lethal dose. You would have to smoke roughly 12,000 joints in fifteen minutes to get anywhere near a lethal amount. Marijuana has been used since before the Great Wall of China was built, since before Christ was born. In all that time, there has never been a single documented death relating to smoking marijuana.
Well, apparently I can’t fit the fourth one on here because I’ve gone beyond my limit. But just be a good friend, so unless she starts snorting coke or smoking crack, just respect her choices on what she decides to put in her body.
Its not bad to smoke weed, you just cant let it control your life.. go out and play sports or just spend time outside. Its a good way to stay on the right path
