My husbands foot and ankle swells up, and turns pink. The nurse said it is from vascular pulmonary disease. He has asthma, is this the same? She said it will continue to swell from now on.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

The disease is called "Pulmonary Hypertension". The body has a Pulmonary Artery that constricts in size and dilate in size.
The human heart pumps blood to the Pulmonary Artery, so when the Pulmonary Artery is constricted the blood will back up into the lower parts of the body (for example the legs & ankles), like the gentleman said before "pluged up veins".
When there is alot of blood within the legs, excess fluid will cause swelling and bloating of the legs.
About the asthma and Pulmonary Vascular disease. It is not the same. Asthma deals with the Respiratory systerm and the Pulmonary Vascular disease deals with the Cardiovascular System.
But Note, prolong asthma occurances does contribute toward Pulmonary Vascular disease. Read up on it here, because this disease is no joke.
