What kind of changes can I expect and when even while using a stop smoking aid?

help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more

I’m using the Nicorette inhaler to quit smoking. I’ve been smoking for 17 years and today was my first day of quitting and I did really good.
My question is what kind of changes can I expect in my body and when, even though I am still taking in a small amount of nicotine? If anyone knows, that would be great.
Thanks!
Smoke free for 1 Day, 3 Hours, and 35 Minutes. :)

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

Expect to notice a little change in your breathing. I’ve been smoke free for 9 days now (woo!), and when I get up early in the morning I feel like I have a huge open space in my chest where my lungs are. lol.
The nicotine from the inhaler will give you the jitters, and you might get an "ash-tray" like taste occasionally.

Keep up the good work. Try not to faulter!
This is my only successful try after six times, and I hope it sticks.
Glad you could go with Nicorette, I had to go on Chantix and it has some strange side effects.

    Good luck!!!

well first u stop and talk about it to your family, friends or to your selve and think why and then u get up from what ever ur doing and through it away and then just dont buy another pack because its really bad so u will not have any thing wrong with your body

It can take several years for your breathing to really start getting better from what I’ve heard. Food and sense of smell get better in a couple of weeks.

I never used the inhaler, I used the patch. But when I quit with in the first wk I could breathe a little better, and my taste buds woke up! lol after that like the second week i had a cough and was coughing up a lot of flem, but after my chest cleared up more I was great! Breathing better, way better sense of smell, and taste was a huge one for me. Congrats! I quit 4 yrs ago and haven’t looked back after smoking for over 10 yrs!

Although I encourage you i the path you have chosen, I must say the this method did not work for me…but this does not mean that it will not work for you. I would look into some of the pills that are offered. This medication can help with the depression, appetite, and psychological aspects of quitting smoking. I experienced severe mood swings when I tried to quite. The only thing that helped me was i pill form. I tried the gum, which worked, but I continued to chew the gum and couldn’t get off it. I hope this helped and was not discouraging, but I’m just trying to be honest. I know what a difficult struggle you are embarking on, which should be commended! I wish you the best of luck.
P.S. It takes most people a couple tries to quit, so stay stong and allow yourself a second chance…IF needed!!
    Lots of love

First of all, congratulations on your decision to quit! It’s not going to be easy but believe me, you’ve taken the first step to improve your life. There will always be withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting. The usual symptoms are headaches, fatigue, dizziness, irritability and the like. Some are even worse than what I’ve mentioned. I’m not scaring you, I just want you to be prepared with what you’re going to face. At least you’d know how to cope if the situation arises.
