help me to stop smoking! stop smoking medications, stop smoking help, stop smoking plans and more
I’m thinking of training to be a fireman but I have mild asthma. Will they refuse me because of this?
I’ve also got a history of depression. Will this stop me too?

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

yes it will
i believe that the asthma may be a big problem because it affects your breathing. this will really affect you because of all the smoke, ash and airborne Dibera. depending on the severity of your asthma you may not be able to become a fireman.
The depression howerver should not be a barrior that will stop you becoming a fireman
i am sorry to say it probably will
your asthma will probably be a problem, as there would be a risk of you having a asthma attach in a dangerious situation endangering your life, the other fire fighters life’s and anyone else’s life that you might be trying to save.
I doubt it, as long as you can complete field training. I can see the depression being an issue though.
This is from a physician’s standpoint. Your asthma is mild, and if you know the triggers and are well controlled, it should not be a problem. You should know your physical limitations and prevent flare ups. Regarding the history of depression, if you were treated for it and no longer shows signs of depression, your physician should clear you. Hope that helps.
