I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

they wont go back to normal, they will still have all that tar in them, but you will notice that you will have more energy after time. but it is still good to quit, because the more you keep smoking the more tar ur putting into your lungs, and it just gets worse

  13. Jamie says:

Takes 10 years for your lungs to get back to condition it was in prior to smoking. If you want to quit, start now.

  14. Eddie says:

Just stop and hopefuly they will go back to normal.. or slowly stop liek a pack a day to half a pack.. then slowly decreasing to a stop, it will be easier for you.

  15. JKZ15 says:

  31. Deacon the Beacon says:

Good luck – your lungs would much prefer to be punched than have tar poured into them.

  32. Kevin G says:

Yes, if u do, your body will naturally heal itself…your body iz pretty amazing…so yah, your body will… depending on how long u have smoked, your body will heal in like, 3 or a little more months, or may b less…

  33. ~mormon~gurl~ says:

they wont automatically become healthy…….if thats what you mean……..also if you do ……less chance of heat disease, lung cancer and you wont die as soon…!

  34. beez says:

Yes, the first years after quitting show the biggest decrease of these risks. And after 10 to 15 years, the ex-smoker is as healthy again as someone who has never smoked. Within several years, the risk of heart and coronary diseases are equal to that of non-smokers. Also, the risk of lung disease decreases relatively quickly. The risk of lung cancer needs 10 to 15 years to decrease to the risk of someone who never smoked. But also in this case the biggest decrease of the risk happens in the first years after quitting.

  35. SAMD010 says:

Absolutely … Remember that you can still have dirty lungs even if you have never lit up one cigarette in your whole life. Rigorously working out is the best thing for you too. Good luck in the ring. I hope you do well. Take care.

  36. Lorenzo Steed says:

Yes, usually within 6 months your lungs will heal themselves, give or take depending on how much you smoke, how much your lungs have been affected, how quickly your body is to recover and any other relevant health factors.

  37. Dpez says:

You should be able to build up lung capacity again as long as you stay off the cigs and you exercise regularly and it sounds like you’re going to!
Great to hear this! It took me 15 years to get my dad to quit!

    Sincerely,

  38. Blaster says:

    Yes, go ahead!

  39. Rae says:

No, it won’t. Try checking out a dissected anatomical human body of a smoker. His/her lungs are spotted black or might be covered almost completely. Even those who are exposed to second-hand smoke have these. I was taught that they would never go back to normal but would still be able to function properly if some of the bronchi is not completely annihalted.

  40. Surgio says:

Yes they will, the lungs have a restructuring process and they can repair the damage. Good luck, i quit two years ago after smoking about 4years also and i feel great. I’m 27 and play basketball and baseball for fun and in the best shape.

  41. Bettee62 says:

NOT IMMEDIATELY BUT EVENTUALLY. STOP NOW.

  42. RATZ says:

It takes time . But yes it will. You’ve not been smoking that long. So mabye no permanent damage has been done

  45. Anar I says:

They’ll be almost the same. In 5-7 years after quitting they’ll be 90-95% of how they were before you actually started smoking.
    So go for it!

  46. Bryony C says:

It will take time but yes your lungs will get better and you will be fitter. I admire you for this as I know it is hard but well done and hold in there xxx
