I doubt they would stop me either if I did smoke.

I know exactly how you feel, I was in a very similar situation. I remember that I was so nervous at that time and I took it out on everyone around me. I didnt know what could I do until, thanks god, I found Smoke Deter. Now I can look back and laugh on myself and in the same time I remember how helpless I was. I hope that I'll never be in the same situation again

No it will not stop me, if I stop smoking it will be through my own choice and not because someone else is attempting to make me. I am an adult, I know the risks, there cannot be anyone alive who does not, and at this moment in my life I choose to smoke.

It makes absolutely no difference to me. If i want a cigarette i will still have one no matter what they write on the packets.

I wonder if we had similar graphic images on the sides of cars showing road deaths and maimed children. would people stop driving??

I don’t smoke myself either but if i did I don’t think the pictures would make any difference to me in my case it is because I work in a Hospital and see that sort of thing every day

after sex i love a cig, guys tell me it look ssexy to watch me smoke nice and slowly. ;)

I don’t, but my uncle does.
And he once told me the he doesn’t care about what’s written on the package anyway.
The warning signs are just not scary enough

    I’m completely anti-smoking and I don’t think it’s have any effect.
They’re addicts afterall whichever way you look at it. A picture of a dying baby and a set of manky lungs isn’t going to stop a smoker from getting their pathetic little fix of nicotine.

I have a theory about this–because the government are in so much sh1t , they need the population to live longer in order to pay more taxes—-the powers that be must have worked out that the duty on fags is not paying enough anymore( what with the amount of imported ciggies available )–so they are trying to get people to quit——–you may have noticed this only happened when fag sales declined…….btw , smoking a cigarette is the least of your worries in the good ‘ol UK-you have suicide bombers , illegal drivers , gangs of inbred chavs spreading TB–you will be lucky to be alive after smoking one–let alone twenty.

only fools fail to heed warnings
when they suffer like my mother who smoked since a teenager and
gasp for breath like drowning slowly for a month in pain and distress
then let them remember the warning on the packet
its something they have earned and paid for each week with their lives i hope they enjoy the dieing as much as the smoking
something for them to look forward too
what a shame for all the others around them who will have to deal with them when they need help and treatment

i used to smoke but stopped some time ago , anyway pictures on packets would not have deterred me .. because when i bought cigarettes i straight away transferred them to a silver cigarette case , perhaps they should have pictures of nuclear bombs and other horrific weapons on the sides of buses etc, as these are more likely to kill us in the not too distant future

  11. rogerglyn says:

I quit because of the tax on the things.

I used to enjoy a cigarette too.

smokers know, deep down, that they are killing themselves but they choose to ignore the facts. if i was a smoker, i wouldnt look at the packet. i suppose it costs very little to put the pictures on the packets and if it saves one smoker its a good thing. i just hope they dont start putting nasty pictures on my beer can
